Equitable Access

GOALS: To identify, inventory, and engage Wake County organizations that serve: hard to reach, underserved, marginalized, disenfranchised and/or isolated populations in the CPN initiative to promote COMMUNITY INCLUSION in the way we think, in what we do, and in how we serve.

ACTIVITIES: Provide education opportunities within the CPN for service providers on inclusion and how civil rights, and non-discrimination regulation, are incorporated into the provision of services to vulnerable populations.

Develop an inventory of contacts and information distribution points in the community through which information about services and opportunities will reach our neighbors traditionally isolated from mainstream community.

OPPORTUNITIES:  Explore how geography, culture, language or other discriminatory characteristics present access barriers to local services and develop creative ways to promote inclusion through education, public outreach, and access improvement.
